FACTOR ELEVEN (F11) is a leading technology company offering advertisers, agencies and SMEs (via resellers) the most intuitive local advertising platform on the market and powerful digital media products. This makes FACTOR ELEVEN the first successful Open Internet alternative to Google and Facebook. Today, FACTOR ELEVEN’s local advertising platform supports „Display“, „Mobile“ and „Video“ media channels. Other categories such as „Digital Out of Home“ and „Addressable TV“ will follow soon.
Founded in 2014 by Alexander Anhuth, the company builds on its own algorithms, delivers 100% brand safety and complete transparency, and offers products for national and regional campaigns that are billed on a KPI basis. FACTOR ELEVEN is constantly developing its own technology stack to automate and simplify the process from campaign planning to billing. As a result, campaigns can be booked not only in managed but also in self-service by media agencies, resellers or directly by customers in the style of Google and Facebook and via API. More than 90 agencies, advertisers and resellers are successfully working with FACTOR ELEVEN’s advertising platform. Thanks to partnerships with agencies and resellers, FACTOR ELEVEN’s platform currently processes up to 4,000 simultaneously running campaigns for over 1,000 companies. Customers and partners include well-known companies such as Vodafone, Poco, Group M, 11880, Funke and many more. The company currently employs 70 people and generates annual sales of around 35 million euros. In 2018, FACTOR ELEVEN entered the Austrian market and has also been active in France since 2020. Other markets will follow.
PERFORMANCE CAMPAIGNS IN PREMIUM QUALITY AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO GOOGLE & FACEBOOK
We firmly believe that a strong open internet, outside the walled gardens of Facebook, Google & Co., is important for advertisers but also for society. We therefore work in partnership with publishers and marketers to offer advertisers real alternatives to the US corporations and thus contribute to the financing of high-quality journalism. Our goal is to provide advertisers with a similar level of comfort, with equally strong results.
FACTOR ELEVEN TAKES RESPONSIBILITY
As a technology company, we listen to science and therefore recognize our own share of responsibility for climate change and the need to minimize our emissions footprint. Due to FACTOR ELEVEN’s business model, most of our emissions come from energy consumption and business travel.
For this reason, we converted our electricity supply to renewable energy in 2019 and certified ourselves as a carbon neutral company in 2021 by calculating our carbon footprint and offsetting all unavoidable emissions. Understanding that offsetting is only the second-best solution, we strive to further reduce our own emissions, for example by reducing business travel to the minimum necessary, converting our vehicle fleet to electric vehicles in the next leasing cycle, and incentivizing employees to switch to renewable energy at home.
In addition, we strive to be a climate change pioneer in the advertising market. In 2019, FACTOR ELEVEN launched the „One click, one tree“ campaign, which led to the planting of 4.5 million trees by partner Eden Reforestation Projects. In 2021, we set up the #AlleMachenMit campaign together with Vodafone to promote UN World Environment Day and planted a further 547,000 trees.
FACTOR ELEVEN & PARTNER
TOGETHER WE ROCK!
For FACTOR ELEVEN, every publisher is a partner for a long-term successful cooperation at eye level – and not just one inventory source among many. That’s why we carefully select publishers with whom we work according to certain strategic criteria. This is the only way we can deliver the FACTOR ELEVEN promise – to offer our clients premium inventory for performance campaigns at a price that can compete with Google, Facebook & Co.
OUR PROMISE TO OUR PARTNERS
- We buy every Ad Impression exclusively on a CPM-basis.
- We never resell the inventory of publishers on a CPM-basis – only ever in combination with additional services and guarantees based on our proprietary tech stack.
- We always use several publishers and formats equally in one campaign – based on complex algorithms that calculate the respective share.
- We guarantee that not a single site or publisher is booked on „performance invoicing“.
- We provide our publishing partners with an accurate reporting at the end of each month – including all relevant data.
- This way, we ensure full transparency and mutual trust.
